Travel here sustainably – for a more climate-friendly city!
Uppsala Municipality is working purposefully to reduce emissions and create a more sustainable and climate-friendly city. We are part of the European initiative Lille: Call to Action, where we strive to make cultural visits more climate-smart and environmentally friendly. By choosing sustainable transport options when visiting us at Uppsala Art Museum, you contribute to our shared goal of a greener future.
Here’s how you can travel sustainably to us:
Public transport – convenient and eco-friendly
We recommend traveling by public transport to reduce your own climate impact and make your journey more comfortable. Uppsala Art Museum is within walking distance from Slottsbacken, where you can easily catch a bus. You can take buses 1, 2, 7, and 11 and get off at Slottsbacken. To plan your journey and find timetables for buses, visit www.ul.se.
Biking and walking – sustainable and healthy
Cycling or walking to us is not only good for the environment, but also good for your health! Uppsala has a large network of bike paths, and cycling is an excellent way to get here in fast and sustainable manner. There are several bike parking areas near the entrance to the Art Museum. You can find our bike map here.
Car and parking – drive sustainably
If you need to use your car to get here, please consider carpooling if possible. We have a limited number of parking spaces and encourage more sustainable transport options such as public transport, walking, and cycling. Car parking is available outside the entrance.
Thank you for helping us create a greener Uppsala!
By choosing sustainable transport options, you contribute to reducing the city’s negative impact on the climate, and help us reach our climate goals. Together, we make Uppsala a place for both culture and environmental awareness. We look forward to your visit!
