Monia Westin

Monia Westin was born in 1936 and is educated at Konstfack in Stockholm but is living and working in Uppsala.

Westin mainly works with weaving technology and has done many great jobs for public environments. She also does smaller textile works and her pictures are poetic depictions of moods and emotions. The language is fluent and balances between the abstract and the pictorial.

Monia Westin is represented at both Nationalmuseum and Moderna Museet and was awarded the Uppsala municipality's honorary scholarship in 2009.
