A selection of prints from the 20th century to the 21st century is presented here, where different printing techniques show how art reached a wider audience through art associations.

Through ceramic objects, we follow the rich production of Upsala-Ekeby from the 1930s to 1978, featuring both functional ware and artistic pieces by designers such as Vicke Lindstrand, Mari Simulson, and Anna-Lisa Thomson. Together, the works reflect a development from a restrained visual language to a more expressive design.

The exhibition presents a selection from Uppsala Art Museum’s extensive ceramic collection, offering insight into both the breadth and variety of Upsala-Ekeby’s production, as well as the creativity that characterized the factory over five decades.
