How does war and peace affect people and society? This exhibition features works from the museum's collections that depict conflict, reconciliation and the traces in between through video, painting and installation.
War changes the world. It leaves traces in bodies, cities and memories – traces that remain long after the fighting has ceased. But peace also shapes our lives. It enables reconstruction and new ideas, but requires work, compromise and will.
The works in War and Peace reflect how these opposing forces affect both individuals and societies, and how history continues to shape our time and our visions of the future.
